As cost-of-living pressures create headaches for homebuyers, we’re delighted to announce the launch of ‘Affordable 8’, a suite of limited edition, affordable home designs that don’t compromise on quality.

Starting at $164,900 for a three-bedroom home, the 'Affordable 8' range is based on some of our most popular designs.

Available from 8 December 2023 until 29 February 2024, the 'Affordable 8' range embodies our ethos of simple yet quality designs, offered at a great price.

We’ve been able to achieve a great value price point by collaborating with designers, engineers and leading suppliers to reconfigure floor plans and remove non-essential items. 

This has reduced wastage and on-site labour costs, without sacrificing the homes' quality, size or appeal, and it means we can pass on real savings – up to 20% from our standard range – to customers.

Eight Homes Chief Executive Officer Steve Maher said, “I started Eight Homes in 2010, during the Global Financial Crisis, because I recognised there was a big market for homes with simple, quality designs, that were efficient to build and therefore more affordable for homebuyers.

“Today, housing affordability remains a big issue. With this in mind, Eight Homes has taken the initiative by working closely with suppliers, designers and engineers to reimagine some of our most popular designs, retaining their best features but bringing them to market at a very attractive price.

"These price points could be the difference for family getting finance approval when they've previously couldn't. Where they thought home ownership wasn't achievable - it could be! These prices could also help families buy the larger home they need instead of the smaller home they can afford.”
